Information on solid construction houses & timber frame construction
We would be happy to inform you about the differences between solid construction houses and timber frame construction.
Timber construction: In timber construction, well-insulated timber constructions can achieve a low U-value, which means that the wall cross-sections can be reduced.
Sustainability: Sustainably sourced wood from certified and ecological forestry contributes to an ecological construction method.
Solid construction: The thermal storage mass of solid building materials such as concrete or sand-lime brick provides a higher storage capacity. This means that heat is stored in the building for longer or kept outside in summer, resulting in a more even temperature in the building. Solid walls make it possible to achieve a higher level of sound insulation more quickly and, if the use of rooms changes at a later date, it is easier to assign a new use to solid walls.
These are just a few of the many aspects that speak in favor of one construction method or another. Depending on which construction method you are interested in, we will be happy to advise and accompany you on your way to your individual dream home.
